Business NetworkingThe Business Association of Mt. Airy will host a networking session at the Mt. Airy USA offices at 6703 Germantown Avenue, Suite 200 (above the post office at Phil-Ellena St. and Germantown Avenue- enter from back parking lot) at 1:30 p.m.

Thrill Show TicketsTickets are still available for the Philadelphia Police Department's annual Thrill Show.  All proceeds from the show go towards scholarships for the children of fallen city police officers and firefighters.

This day in history: August 14, is V-J Day.  The Japanese surrendered to allied forces on Aug. 14, 1945, ending World War II after the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese cites of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
