Inhabit Germantown: I'll let the organizers describe this one: "Tuesdays 9a-1p, Thursdays 1-5p, Second Saturdays 12-4p, 1st & 3rd Sundays 1-5p, or by appointmentat Germantown Historical Society
Historic Germantown’s exhibition, “Inhabit Germantown” evolved from a grant application to participate in the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage’s “No Idea is Too Ridiculous” Program. The program challenges institutions and individual cultural practitioners to undertake a project that pushes the boundaries of institutional convention. This exhibition and event are about changing the way Historic Germantown goes about its work and offers a new model of community engagement with collections and history."
Thrill Show Tickets: Tickets are still available for the Philadelphia Police Department's annual Thrill Show. All proceeds from the show go towards scholarships for the children of fallen city police officers and firefighters.
This day in history: September 10 is a relatively slow day historically. However, on Sept. 10, 2008, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, described as the biggest scientific experiment in history, is powered up in Geneva, Switzerland.
