Gardening, Open House and Everything Else Going on Tuesday

Morris Arboretum will host a gardening workshop while Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will host a gardening workshop on Tuesday.

Here's what's going on Tuesday.

Gardening WorkshopTaught by Marc Radell, Penn State Certified Master Gardener  More than twice the amount of land that is conserved as open space in Southeast Pennsylvania is used for residential purposes, which means that how homeowners maintain their property has a dramatic impact on area wildlife. In this class, you will learn how to enhance your property’s potential to provide food, water, and shelter for a variety of wildlife in a sustainable and aesthetic way. It will cover the backyard habitat principles developed by leading environmental organizations and recommend specific plants and garden practices for attracting songbirds, butterflies, and other beneficial wildlife based upon the instructor’s experience rehabilitating his own 4.5-acre property, working as an environmental professional, and practicing as a Master Gardener Volunteer.
