Wax Poetic, Contemporary Encaustic features 13 artists from around the country showing the various ways encaustic as a medium can be used in art.
Encaustic can be traced back thousands of years and is simply bees wax, mixed with resin and generally a pigment which is used in creating works of art.

Nichols Berg Gallery is an art gallery and studio located in Chestnut Hill. The owners of the gallery are Scott Nichols and Steve Berg. Their gallery and studio includes space to display art and space for press accommodations. The gallery is open to the public and has expanded to include a gallery annex, in addition to the existing art and studio space. Artists showcased include Scott Nichols, Julie Zahn, Carol Philips, Jonathan Eckel, Clarissa Shanahan, Lynnette Shelley and Richard Metz.
