 hold the first of its five-part Old Rose Workshop Series.\nHeritage rose
 s are easier to grow than many gardeners think (organically and without 
 toxic sprays)\; however\, there are lessons worth learning to ensure the
 y reach their full potential throughout the year. The Old Rose Workshop 
 Series is designed to shepherd local gardeners through a year in the lif
 e of their heritage roses\, ensuring that they enjoy the flowers as well

 g Pruning for Blooms &bull\; Saturday\, May 26&mdash\;Rose Petals in All
  Their Glory &bull\; Saturday\, June 16&mdash\;Propagation of Roses &bul

  October 20&mdash\;Rose Hips and What You Make of Them\nAll workshops wi
 ll be held at Wyck from 9:00-12:00. Advance registration is required\, a

 ephen Scanniello is President of the Heritage Rose Foundation and perhap
 s best known as the hands-on gardener who transformed the Cranford Rose 
 Garden of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden into one of the world's most accla
 imed rose gardens.&nbsp\;\nElizabeth Belk is the Horticulturist at Wyck 
 House and Garden\, responsible for the care and propagation of the 65 ki
 nds of roses in the Wyck Rose Garden\, widely recognized as the oldest r
 ose garden in America.
