 vites you to join us on&nbsp\; Saturday\, May 19th from 11:30 am-3:00 pm
  for SCHindig\, the sure-to-be-favorite family event of the spring.\nInv
 ite your friends. SCHindig is free and open to the entire community!\nPr
 oceeds from the event will support SCH Academy's fantastic Outdoor Progr
 am for boys and girls.\nActivities include:  TALENT SHOWCASE (1-2 pm): W
 itness the extraordinary talent within our student community.  SPECIAL G
 UEST APPEARANCE (2-3 pm):&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Rock out at a family-friendly con
 cert by local Philly rapper Tayyib Ali.&nbsp\;  BURGER BRAWL (All day): 
 Sample burger creations by local celebrity chefs\, including four-star c
 hef David Jansen\, and vote on the best recipe!  COMMUNITY PATCH (All da
 y): Visit our booths and learn about the many resources and opportunitie
 s within our community.  CARNIVAL (All day): Enjoy moon bounces\, toss g
 ames\, a giant inflatable slide\, festive foods &amp\; more!  SPORTS EQU
 IPMENT COLLECTION (All day): Bring your used sports equipment to donate 
 to the Philadelphia Youth Organization. (PYO especially needs gently use
 d soccer cleats\, baseball gloves\, shin guards\, basketballs\, soccer b
 alls\, and lacrosse sticks.)   SHOE COLLECTION (All day):&nbsp\;Swing by
  the SCH Eco Club's "Reduce your FOOTprint" table and support their shoe
  recycling effort. Bring along a pair of shoes to donate and you will re
 ceive a flower\, herb or veggie seedling. Donated shoes will go to Shoe 
 Box Recycling\, an organization that sends the shoes to areas in need ar
 ound the world and work with residents to set up micro-businesses to res
 ell the shoes at local markets. The Eco Club receives .50 cents per poun
 d of shoes collected and the money raised will go toward purchasing a ha
 ndicapped accessible raised garden bed that the students will construct 
 at the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.&nbsp\; SCHindig is sponsored by
  the student governments and parents associations of both campuses.
