DESCRIPTION:Dance Training Program The Canaan Conservatory for Arts and M
 usic is a Pre-Professional Training Program designed for all young peopl
 e.&nbsp\; We offer the groundwork for aspiring students to enter the pro
 fessional training programs worldwide and ultimately pursue careers in d
 ance and music. Students are placed in appropriate levels for maximum de
 velopment. Classes for students ages 4-6 are in preparation for ballet\,
  with a focus on creative movement and basic classroom etiquette. Studen
 ts ages 7-10 in levels I\, &amp\; II are required to take one\, mandator
 y ballet class each week. Students can also choose to take a class in Ta
 p\, Jazz\, Modern\, Dunham. Hip Hop and Praise. Students in Level III ar
 e required to take a minimum of 2\, two hour classes per week of ballet 
 during the fall and spring semesters and a minimum of 2 hours per day in
  the summer intensive program.\nPrivate Lessons Private lessons are avai
 lable for voice\, piano\, percussion\, and violin Private lessons are he
 ld weekly.Voice- will consist primarily of private vocal coaching.&nbsp\
 ; These coaching sessions will focus on breathing technique\, phrasing\,
  enunciation\, pronunciation\, passion\, inflection\, stage presence\, d
 elivery\, connecting mind body and soul and over all artistry.&nbsp\; Th
 ese aspects are all main arteries of singing which lead to the heart of 
 the song\, ultimately resulting in the proper execution of such. Piano- 
 lessons are for beginning students only. These lessons will consist of b
 asic piano skills\; note reading\, note value\, rhythm\, time signature\
 , key signature\, notation and sight reading.&nbsp\; These skills will e
 nable the student to look at a piece of music\, easily identify its cont
 ents\, and play it. Violin Certified Suzuki Instructor\, For Students Ag
 es 5 to Adult The Suzuki Method emphasizes ear training and parent invol
 vement. While group sessions offer atmosphere and support\, private stud
 y allows the instructor to focus solely on one student. Private study de
 velops not only reading and playing skills but will strongly influence s
 tyle. Dundun There are two primary playing styles for dunduns. The tradi
 tional style has each player using a single drum resting on its side.
