Funds raised thro ugh the 2012 gala will directly support the Arboretum&rsquo\;s operatio ns and programming\, as well as exciting interior renovations of the hi storic George D. Widener Education &\; Visitor Center. These funds w ill help ensure that we are able to comfortably welcome the more than 1 20\,000 visitors who come annually.\nThis year marks the 125th anniversa ry of the land purchase for Compton &ndash\; John and Lydia Morris&rsqu o\; estate that would become the Morris Arboretum. This year at Moonlig ht &\; Roses\, a chalk outline of the mansion along with photos of C ompton&rsquo\;s interior will be on display for guests to &ldquo\;walk through&rdquo\; the estate and imagine life during the late 1800s. This display will be at the top of the hill at the Two Lines sculpture\, wh ich marks the spot where Compton stood.\nBenefactors\, Patrons and guest s with special needs will receive premium parking passes for valet park ing at the Widener Visitors Center.
