Lag BaOmer (the 18th of Iyar on the Jewish Calendar) celebrates the legacy of the great sage Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the author of the Zohar.  This day is traditionally celebrated by “gathering in the fields” with food and friends, in the spirit of Rabbi Akiva’s teachings on the mitzvah of ahavat yisroel, “love your fellow as yourself”. Fire is also a part of this celebration, alluding to the fiery teachings of Rabbi Shimon.

We invite you to join us for a kosher family BBQ celebrating this auspicious day. Celebrating together increases our friendship and unity, which are themes of Lag Ba’omer. Meat and vegetarian choices will be available. Rain or Shine.
