What's Closed on Christmas Day

Here's a list of what will be closed in the Northwest on Christmas Day.

Check here for a list of business that will be open on Christmas Day:

  • All city and state services will be closed on Christmas Day, including city and school district offices.
  • All state DMV locations will be closed.
  • Speaking of spirits, the Brewer's Outfit beer distributor on Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy will be closed Christmas Day.
  • Banks throughout the area—and across the country—will be closed.
  • Pathmark in Chestnut Hill will be closed on Christmas Day
  • Joa Mart in Mt. Airy will be closed on Christmas Day. The store will be open for normal hours on Christmas Eve.
  • Weavers Way grocery stores in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy will be closed on Christmas Day. Both locations will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Food for All in Mt. Airy will be closed on Christmas Day. The grocery and market will be open until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • All area CVS locations will be closed on Christmas Day. The stores will be open until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, with pharmacies staying open until 6 p.m.
  • Rite Aid locations in Chestnut Hill, including stores on Crittenden Street and Stenton Avenue, will be closed on Christmas Day. The both locations will be open until 7 p.m. (pharmacy until 5 p.m.) on Christmas Eve.
  • Philadelphia Salvage in Mt. Airy will be closed on Christmas Day, open on Christmas Eve.
  • Philadelphia Community Acupuncture in Mt. Airy will be closed Christmas Day, open Christmas Eve.
  • Baker Street in Chestnut Hill will be closed on Christmas Day, but open until 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Indigo Schuy in Chestnut Hill will be closed on Christmas Day, but open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
