Vampire Delegate to Represent 2nd Congressional GOP?

Music promoter seeks entrance to Republican convention as Ron Paul delegate.

With Republicans dividing primary victories among them, the April Pennsylvania content may come into play. And with that, delegates to the Republican convention from Pennsylvania could be important.

According to Philly.com, one potential delegate for Roxborugh and Manayunk—with a background as a vampire music promoter/property rights activist—is angling to represent Rep. Ron Paul at the GOP convention in Tampa, FL.

Patrick Rodgers has made a name for himself in the city as a music promoter with custom-made vampire fangs. In April, he hopes to be on the ballot in the second congressional district as a delegate for the Ron Paul camp.

The campaign for the Republican congressman from Texas reached out to Rodgers to stump for Paul. He needs to collect 250 signatures by Feb. 15 to get on the ballot.

In 2011, Rodgers caught the eye from the national media for a battle with Wells Fargo over a homeowner’s insurance dispute. CNN, Fox News and even Stephen Colbert interviewed him.

The second district covers all of Northwest Philadelphia and also West Philadelphia and parts of Montgomery County.
