Valley Talks: Katherine Gajewski, City Director of Sustainability

Gajewski spoke about the city's Greenworks plan.

 

Katherine Gajewski, Director of Sustainability for the City of Philadelphia, spoke at Valley Green Inn last week, part of the lecture series Valley Talks, sponsored by the Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) and Valley Green Bank.

Gajewski is responsible for coordinating the implementation of Greenworks Philadelphia, the City's comprehensive sustainability plan. She discussed the implementation of this program which involves working with partners in city government as well as with external stakeholders.

Launched in 2009, Greenworks has received local, national, and international attention and has positioned Philadelphia as a leader in urban sustainability. Pictured here are FOW Executive Director Maura McCarthy, Katherine Gajewski, and Jay Goldstein, Chief Executive Officer of Valley Green Bank.
