Retail Theft: On Feb. 24, at approximately 12:54 p.m., Philadelphia police received a report of a retail theft at the CVS located at 7065 Lincoln Drive. According to police, two men came into the store, picked up a store basket and put items into the basket. Police say that the two men then ran out of the store without paying for the items. Police estimate the value of the stolen items at over $250.
Theft: On Feb. 22 at approximately 6 a.m., police received a report of a theft from vehicle in the 6000 block of Boyer Street. According to police, an unknown person entered a vehicle on the street and stole a check book, tax papers and a social security card.

Yet again! Check book, tax papers, and other important stuff stolen from a parked car. There's a word that should be applied to parked cars in a city: empty. Really, how many times do we have to read that someone's laptop, iWhatever, Picasso etching, etc. has been pilfered from a car? It may be inconvenient to schlep stuff from car to home, but it sure beats the inconvenience of having to get another checkbook, have tax documents reissued, and the like.
