Reports of Copper Theft Continue

While the alleged incidents didn't take place in Mt. Airy or Chestnut Hill this time, reports of similar incidents keep coming in.

Though not in Chestnut Hill or Mt. Airy, incidents of copper theft continue to pop up in the Northwest.

According to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department, eight more copper pipes were reported stolen in Germantown on October 13.

According to reports, the owner of an apartment complex complained that someone had "kicked in" the basement door of the complex and took eight copper pipes estimated to be valued at $3,000.

This report comes on the heels of two other incidents of copper theft in Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill, including a weekend in which over $10,000 in copper was reported stolen from the area.

Police are investigating the incidents.
