Editor's Note: The following issue was raised to Councilwoman Cindy Bass, state Rep. Cherelle Parker and ClickFix by East Mt. Airy resident Enid Diamante. Here's what Diamante wrote (the photos she sent in are at right):

Please help with an ongoing problem at Stenton and East Mount Airy Avenues and, indeed, all up and down Stenton Avenue.

Stenton and East Mount Airy is a busy intersection and also a SEPTA bus stop. SEPTA commuters leave a lot of trash on the sidewalk, grass, street, and nearby alleys. There are no trash cans at this intersection.

I'm hoping if solar compact trash bins were placed here, much of the trash would not be tossed on the ground.
