Police Blotter: Vintage Barbie Collection Taken
The following information was supplied by the Philadelphia Police Department. The arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.
Here's 14th Police District news from the past week or two. All of the following allegations have been documented according to information provided by police:
Wallet taken from handbag: Police said a wallet was taken from a handbag inside a store on the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue Friday.
$35,000 worth of goods taken from home: Police said laptops, iPhone speakers, jewelry and other items were taken from a home on the 700 block of St. Georges Road Friday. The items were worth around a total of $35,000, according to police.
Burglarly takes place: Police said two cameras and a laptop were taken from a home on the unit block of East McPherson Street Saturday.
Car taken: A woman told police her husband took her car after he told police to serve her with a restraining order on the 6600 block of Ardleigh Street April 17.
Pry attempt happens: Police said someone attempted to pry into a home on the 6600 block of Emlen Street April 13 but said nothing was taken.
Bag, gym lock taken: Police said a bag was taken out of a car parked on the 100 block of West Sharpnack Street April 17.
Man stabbed: A man told police he was stabbed by his wife on the 6400 block of Sprague Street Sunday.
Vintage Barbie collection stolen: Police said a vintage Barbie collection—worth about $2,500—was taken from a car parked on the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive Sunday.
Bicycle taken: Police said a bike was taken from a storage cage on the unit block of Roumfort Road Friday.
Drugs, money taken: A man told police he hired someone to do work for him in his house, but when he got into a verbal altercation with the man, he noticed that $300 and various prescription medications were missing on the 6800 block of Germantown Avenue Thursday.
Copper pipes taken: Police said copper pipes were taken from a home on the 200 block of West Allens Lane April 11.
Purse taken: Police said a purse was taken from a home by someone who used a ladder to get inside on the 6800 block of Sprague Street April 15.
Laptop fixer takes items: A man told police he let someone into his home on the 6600 block of Musgrave Street to fix his laptop April 16, but when he went to the bathroom, the man took his laptops and a camera.
Money taken: A woman told police that another woman who has power of attorney over the initial woman's grandmother (who lives on the unit block of East McPherson Street) took money for herself from two bank accounts March 21.
TV, Playstation taken: Police said a television and a Playstation were taken from a home on the 7500 block of Germantown Avenue April 16.
