Police Blotter: Broken Windows in Theft Cases

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

 

Theft … A woman reported June 21, 5 p.m., that while she was at Wells Fargo Bank, 8527 Germantown Ave., someone took her black wallet, containing a checkbook and credit cards, off the counter where she had left it, police said.

Retail theft … An employee of Radio Shack, 7723 Crittenden St., reported June 22, 2:25 p.m., that he observed three men take eight iPhone cases and leave the store without paying, police said.

Theft from auto … A man reported June 21, 6:20 a.m., that while he was parked on Germantown Avenue and Bells Mill Road, that someone broke his passengers-side front window and took a GPS unit and his wallet, police said.

Theft from auto … A man reported June 23, 11:30 p.m., that while he was parked on the 200 block of Evergreen Avenue, someone broke the rear, driver-side window of his car and a GPS unit and a pair of sunglasses were taken, police said.

Theft … A resident of the 8000 block of Germantown Avenue reported June 8, 7 p.m., that she left her bicycle in a common area of her apartment building, and when she came back for it, it was missing, police said.
