Police Blotter: $7,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Philadelphia Police Department. The arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

 

Here's 14th Police District news from the past week or two. All of the following allegations have been documented according to information provided by police:

Bicycle stolen: Police said a bicycle that wasn't locked up was taken from a home on the 800 block of Dorset Street Saturday.

Break-in attempted: Police said a person attempted to break in to a home with a tool on the unit block of East Johnson Street Saturday.

Two bikes taken: Police said two bikes were removed from a shed on the 900 block of West Mt. Airy Avenue sometime between Aug. 4 and Saturday.

Face wash stolen: Police said an Aveeno facewash was taken from CVS Pharmacy on Lincoln Drive.

Camera taken: Police said a camera and a checkbook were taken from a common room in a home on the 100 block of West Sharpnack Street Aug. 5.

$7,000 worth of jewelry taken: Police said $7,000 worth of jewelry, including rings and necklaces, were taken from a home on the 700 block of St. Georges Road after the home was broken into.

Mountain bike stolen: Police said a locked mountain bike was stolen from the 6400 block of Germantown Avenue Aug. 6.
