A suspicious fire in East Mt. Airy took place after two people argued over pornographic videos, according to police.

The fire happened at 58 E. Springer St. last week in the early morning hours of May 9 and was deemed suspicious by fire officials at the time.

A police report this week shed a bit more light on what happened then.

The report said a woman confronted her ex-boyfriend about watching pornographic videos. The ex-boyfriend then got angry, according to police, and punched her in the head several times.

As he left, he had a message for his ex, police said.

"I'm going to burn you out of this," he said, according to police.

Police said the man then set the living room floor on fire before leaving. He was gone when police arrived.
