Police Arrest Two Alleged Graffiti Vandals

The following information is provided by the 14th Police District.

Police arrested two North Philadelphia residents on charges connected to several graffiti tags seen throughout the Northwest, according to a report from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to police, the two men, a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested on charges of felony trespassing, criminal mischief and vandalism after the pair allegedly spray painted their tags on SEPTA property.

Police believe the two men could be connected to the tags "Fact" and "Scut," which have been discovered by residents in Mt. Airy over the past several weeks.

According to a release, police found backpacks filled with paints and markers when they made their arrest.

I see the Scut tag on the train line (the guy is not very good at graf) every day....totally thought the C was an L. Which I found to be an odd choice. Now it's just dumb.

This is a waste of police time and tax payer money...if we address some of the systemic problems the graffiti will change.
