A Conshohocken man arrested in 2011 in connection to a methamphetamine operation in Mt. Airy has filed a complaint regarding police officer conduct during their investigation, according to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer. 

The story, which can be viewed in full here, states that Warren Layre filed a petition in the court of common pleas to recover money sized during a June 2011 raid on his West Mt. Airy auto shop.

When police raided the property on the 500 block of W Sedgwick Street in June 2011, the shop was thought to be meth lab. Reports later stated that the shop was not a lab, and instead was a distribution point and nothing more.

Layer's trial was pushed to December 2012 and eventually dropped by the District Attorney's office, citing "prosecutorial dissection. 

The Inquirer is also reporting that officers involved in the initial bust have been moved to lower-profile positions within the police force.
