Mohammed Al-Jumaili, of Troop 177 in Wyndmoor, earned the Eagle Scout award on December 1, 2012 in Chestnut Hill.

According to a release from the troop, Mohammed came to the US with his mother when he was 13 years old after he was in a car bomb explosion in Iraq that cost him his lower right leg. Now an amputee with a prosthetic, Mohammed can speak English, is in his senior year at Abington High School, and plans to apply for college this year.
