Baseball season is beginning right now, but the Mt. Airy Bantams youth association is already looking ahead to its fall season.

Director of Football Operations Don Harrison said the Bantams' registration efforts are in full swing. There are three upcoming dates at the end of April during which people can register early and can save money because of that.

Those dates are April 25, 27 and 29. Registration for football and cheerleading takes place at Mt. Airy Playground then from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

People pay $110 for this early bird special, and siblings pay $100. Click here for more information about registration dates.

The league is looking for sponsors whose names would be present on practice jerseys.

"We're still ironing out the particulars about that," Harrison said.

It's also seeking a new laptop, and Harrison said he hopes a major retailer, like Staples, Best Buy or Target, could donate one to the association. In return, they'd receive perks from the Bantams, such as a presence on their website.

"They get a lot for it," Harrison said.

Regular registration begins July 18 and the fee for that is $150.
