Health Department: Heat Exposure Contributing Factor in Mt. Airy Death
A man with a previous history of heart issues died in Mt. Airy.
The city's medical examiner's office has reported that heat exposure was at least in part to blame for the recent death of a West Mt. Airy man.
The office hasn't provided much information on the man. A FOX29 report said the man, 70, died in his home, and said heat exposure was a contributing factor.
CBS Philly's Jeff Kolakowski said the man had previous heart issues.
According to the FOX report, the incident is the fourth heat-related death of the season.
The Red Cross generally warns people to especially watch out for seniors when the weather is warm, as it will be through Saturday night (an excessive heat warning is in effect until then).
