Hanukkah Pop-Up Shop Open in Chestnut Hill

Chanukah Wonderland in Chestnut Hill kicks off Saturday.

For the third year running, Chanukah Wonderland is coming to Chestnut
Hill. This unique experience of Judaic activity and entertainment for
children of all ages, which is completely free of charge, will be
located right on Germantown Avenue from Sunday, December 9 through
Wednesday, December 12.

“Building on last years success, the Chanukah Wonderland will provide
families in the area with the opportunity of celebrating Chanukah in a
very hands-on and engaging manner.” said Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz,
director of Chabad of Northwest Philadelphia, the organization hosting
and sponsoring this event.

The array of activities has been carefully planned to pique the
interest of every age group. There will be ongoing activities such as
Chanukah velvet art, Dress-as-a-Dreidel photo booth, cookie
decorating, and a special tot zone. Hot latkas, the traditional potato
pancakes eaten on Chanukah, will also be served.

The Chanukah Wonderland will be open Sunday from 12 to 5 pm, and on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 pm to 6 pm. The location for the
Wonderland is at 8133 Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill.

Admission and all activities are free. For further information call
Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz at 215-847-9042 or visit www.chabadnwp.org.
