A new Facebook page intended to promote Mt. Airy as a whole launched this week.

The site, called Go Mt. Airy, is part of a new Mt. Airy USA effort to promote businesses in the area.

It is the precursor to a website that, according to Mt. Airy USA Director of Commercial Corridor Revitalization Elizabeth Moselle, should launch soon.

The website, which will be at GoMtAiry.com, will be designed to bring people from around the region into Mt. Airy to shop in local stores and eat at local restaurants.

The Facebook page is now sharing information about various events going on in Mt. Airy, like upcoming Quintessence Theatre events and Avenida specials.
