1. Caeli Smith and Tim Ribchester Recital
Where/When: Christ Ascension Lutheran Church, 8300 Germantown Ave, Sunday, March 13, 3 p.m.
Why Go: The 18-year-old violin virtuoso is playing for a good cause, raising awareness for an outreach trip to Guatemala. And she can really play.
Pricing: Free and open to the public.
2. Stagecrafter Reader’s Theater
Where/When: Stagecrafter’s Theater, 8130 Germantown Avenue. Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12, 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 13, 2 p.m.

3. Hibernation Hike
Where/When: Wissahickon Environmental Center, 300 Northwestern Avenue. Saturday, March 12, 1 p.m.
Why Go: February is ancient history, and the WEC feels like it is time to climb out of your cave and get some exercise. Stretch your legs while checking out the first signs of spring.
4. Open Treehouse
Where/When: Wissahickon Environmental Center Tree House, Thomas Road & West Northwestern Avenue. Saturday, March 12, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Why Go: A once a month event, the tree house opens up to give families the chance to see fish, birds and nature in a scenic setting.
5. Cooking for Kids Class
Where/When: Project Learn School, 6526 Germantown Avenue. Saturday, March 12, 10 a.m.
Why Go: Tired of making dinner for the kids? Have them learn how to make dinner for you.
