The first couple of Thursdays during which the Mt. Airy Village Farmers' Market took place were considered "soft opening" dates.
The grand opening will take place this Thursday. Sorbello Girls Farm Market and Weavers Way Farms are expected to be there and offer a variety of produce. A craft sale will be going on as well (the art will be made by Devin McNutt of Saffron Creations.
Ian Zolitor, a co-op board member who puts together the Big Folkin' Experiment at Earth Bread & Brewery every other Thursday, will play music.
The market will be on Thursdays throughout the summer from 3 to 7 p.m. at Carpenter Lane and Greene Street. Zea May's Kitchen food truck will often be on hand as well.
