Eagles' Jackson, Rodgers-Cromartie to Appear at Germantown Football Rally Tuesday
They will be there for a pep rally before the annual Turkey Bowl between Germantown and Martin Luther King high schools.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will come to Germantown High School Tuesday for a pep rally before an annual football game between GHS and Martin Luther King High School.
The game between the two takes place every year on Thanksgiving Day. (To read about the game's background, click here.) It's at 10:30 on Thursday this year at Benjamin L. Johnston Memorial Stadium—Germantown's home field—at 1000 E. Sedgwick St.
Before the game, though, there will be a pep rally. And Jackson and Rodgers-Cromartie will be at GHS (40 E. High St.) at 2 p.m. Tuesday, to the delight, undoubtedly, of the players and fans that will be there.
This isn't the first time the Eagles have made their presence felt in the area. The team's cheerleaders made an appearance at Anna B. Day School before January's playoff game against the Green Bay Packers last season—a game the team ultimately lost.
