Meg Hagele, the owner of High Point Cafe, is known for her community spirit. On Sunday, she and a group of the cafe's regulars held a caroling event at the cafe, complete with print-outs of popular Christmas songs.
"We'll start here and make our way to other warm places like the Wine Thief and Earth and Bread," she said, sitting at a table with her husband in her brightly-painted train station cafe.
The group was made up of people of all ages, from a seven-week-old baby in a carrier to a grandmother. Behind the counter, Augie Fairchild provided a steady stream of hot drinks.
When asked if this would become a neighborhood tradition, Hagele laughed.
"This is the first annual High Point caroling," she said.
If you took any photos of the event, feel free to add them here.

Thanks, Virginia, for documenting this along with the photos. It makes one feel good about living in such a great Community. Meg deserves credit for this and so many other community-building activities she sponsors!
