Longtime Chestnut Hill resident Jeffrey M. Kolansky has been elected Vice President of the Philadelphia Police Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the Philadelphia Police Department.
Kolansky, Managing Partner of the Philadelphia office of law firm Archer & Greiner P.C., succeeds Maureen Rush, Vice President for Public Safety at the University of Pennsylvania, who has been elected President of the Foundation.
The Philadelphia Police Foundation supports the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department by funding projects that are beyond the scope of the City budget. The Foundation engages business, professional and civic communities in advancing the mission of the Philadelphia Police Department through collaborative initiatives, in-kind resources, training and funding for the Department.
Mr. Kolansky, a litigator and veteran police attorney, brings a history of law enforcement representation and Philadelphia civic involvement to the Foundation. His expertise has earned him a national reputation in such areas as police representation, civil right defense, labor and employment law and other areas of litigation, as well as client counseling.
