Chestnut Hill Lines Running and Roads Reopen

Trains and roads shut down from the storm are back up.

Things are starting to reopen as flood waters from Hurricane Irene recede and people start going back to their regular business.

SEPTA said Chestnut Hill West Service is no longer suspended. It had previously said trains along the line wouldn't run normally Monday morning, but it has changed that assessment. Only the Cynwyd, Paoli/Thorndale, Norristown, and Trenton are currently suspended.

Chestnut Hill East trains are also running. SEPTA did say all of its regional rail routes are operating with delays of about 15 minutes.

And a message from Philadelphia's emergency alert system, ReadyNotifyPA, said Lincoln Drive has been reopened (along with Kelly Drive and West River Drive). It was closed Sunday because it was under several feet of water that spilled over from the Wissahickon Creek.
