Jazz Concert

Why Go: A jazz ensemble will be celebrating 'Victory Day" in England 1946 style.  As part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, music will be performed by the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble with guests Harold Watkins on trombone, Monique Canniere on violin, and Jim Holton on piano. Songs will include “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “Jumpin’ at the Woodside,” and “Lester Leaps In.”

Price: $20 per person

Barefoot Boogie

Where/When: Saturday, April 20, 2013, 8:00 pm Philadelphia Dance Theatre, 7500 Germantown Ave

Why Go: Come to the New Covenant Campus, Baird Hall, 3rd Floor to make new friends and have fun dancing.  DJs will be there as well as live music.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own drum.

Pricing: $10 per person

Free Community Meal

Where/When: Saturday, April 20, 2013, 11:00 am St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6671 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia

Why Go: St. Michael's hosts a free community meal every Saturday consisting of hot food casseroles and dessert.  Everyone is invited and welcomed to attend.
