Attempted Soap Theft at CVS

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

 

Two unknown people attempted to steal eight packs of soap from the CVS Pharmacy on Lincoln Drive, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, an unknown male allegedly attempted to steal the soap on Sept. 15, but dropped the merchandise and ran when approached by an employee of the store.

An unknown woman was allegedly waiting for him in a brown Toyota outside the store. The two reportedly drove off heading eastbound on Mt. Pleasant Avenue.

While on one hand "stealing is stealing," but it's interesting how different to contemplate what must lie behind the theft of "eight-packs of soap" vs. electronic devices, or jewelry or even cash.
