Ash Wednesday Services in Chestnut Hill

Check out the below times for local services.

 

As Fat Tuesday passes, Christians in the area prepare for Lent and Ash Wednesday. There are a number of services in Chestnut Hill, and others throughout the Northwest.

Our Mother of Consolation, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Ave.

  • 7 a.m.: Mass with distribution of ashes
  • 9 a.m.: Prayer service with distribution of ashes
  • 12:10 p.m.: Mass with distribution of ashes
  • 7 p.m.: Prayer service with distribution of ashes

Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Willow Grove Avenue and St. Martins Lane

  • 7 a.m.: Service with distribution of ashes
  • 12 p.m.: Service with distribution of ashes
  • 7 p.m.: Service with distribution of ashes and choir

 

In Mt. Airy, services will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 10 a.m., St. Madeline Sophie, 7 p.m., and St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Masses at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and ash will be given at noon.
