$4,000 in Items Stolen from Chestnut Hill Cars

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

 

Police responded to two incidents of theft from cars in Chestnut Hill recently, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, an unknown person broke into a Jeep parked near the corner of Stenton Avenue and Willow Grove Avenue sometime before Sept. 26 and stole a silver macbook computer from the car.

The computer is estimated to be valued at $2,500.

Police also reported to an incident of theft on Northeaster Avenue on Sept. 26.

According to reports, an unknown person gained entry to a Corolla parked on the street and stole a laptop from the car.

The computer is estimated to be valued at $1,500.

An investigation into the incidents is ongoing.

Maybe people should stop leaving their "matchbooks" and other valuables in their car.
