$10,000 Worth of Copper Pipe Stolen, Police Say

Police say a burglar steals copper piping from a home in Mt. Airy.

 

Theft from Vehicle: On March 1, at approximately 7 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 1140 block of East Hartwell Lane.  According to police, the victim parked her car in her driveway at 9 p.m., on Feb. 28.  When she returned to the car the morning the car door was open and her GPS system was missing.  There was no other damage to the vehicle.

Burglary: On Feb. 22, at approximately 1 p.m. police received a report of a theft from a home located in the 300 block of East Hortter Street.  According to police, an unknown person entered the premises through a first floor window and stole power tools, copper pipes, a television and a watch.  Police estimate the value of the stolen items to be more than $10,000.
